I've got the '04 R1 right, Im riding down to one of our local hotspots, and there he was. The big bad Daddy NINJA, Kawaski green by the way. So i pull up beside him showing off the much better looking silver '04 R1, and a crowd gathered. All the eyes were on the new kings. I kinda felt bad for last years champion the Gixxer thou. But anyway, we got to talking about the bikes, and the power that both have. And i was telling him that i read on the R1 forum that sport rider had tested all the liter bike and had posted the dyno results. He replyed with , Oh yeah, i have already read those numbers.(with an eat shit grin on his face) SO i replied with, well is if fast?! Dont really know, its not broke in. I cant get it over 4 grand until 600miles. He askeds whats the break in on your bike? Break in? I replied LOL! Break it in like your going to ride it, I told him. (And thats what i have been doing my fellow R1 members :rock :rock )So everyone decideds to go up the rd. for a quick run. So needless to say the 10R wouldnt push the bike hard, and thats understandable for a KAWASAKI. But the R1 hit 12thousand a couple of times today and the D18'S were hazing the curves. So later on we'll see of that break in shit is for real or not. Were supposed to meet up again next sunday a ride some more, Hopefully his will be broke in by then LOL!

*** all the hype just ride a bike and be happy. all the hype is just b.s . i got the 04 r 1 but so what.. i aint goin around trying to call out people i just ride. why?? cause i know that reagardless off what any magazine ad or dealer says or what new hype comes out.. there are madd i mean madd motor heads out there that got the performance edge on new and older bikes.. so it does not matter what the new hype is . if you find a true to the game rider. he will have something to get in that ass regardless.. yes i am on a 04 r1 but that dont mean a old schgool gixxer wont spank me on the straight if he has motor work done. so beware of the new bike hype. i have seen lots of people embarrassed thinking because they have a new bike its the shit and here comes an older bike with some hidden trick mods to show you the truth.. just ride and be happy so what who is faster.. who is faster nobody... its so many credit card riders and poser now a days

:iamwithst Don't sleep on ANYBODY! A guy I ride with on occassion has a slingshot Gixxer 750 with headwork . On the outside, the bike looks beat to shit, but what it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in brawn. The guy never talks, but people with the latest and greatest always sleep on his bike unaware of what it can do until they get smoked by it. I know another guy on an R6 who even with a girl on the bike will ride the pants off most of the streetracers we come across.

....cool.. thats all i am sayin riders.. its cool to have the nicest bike out but it does not make you a bad ass since its the newest thing and because the magazines and critics say its hot.. hell most of those test riders are full of b.s anyway.. but its all good . keep in mind i got the 04 r 1 i just aint flossin because its supose to have 180hp.. to tell you the truth its fast as **t but not the fastest thing i have ridden. just beware before you think the 04 is unbeatable .. best of luck to all. no harm in these words

So are you guys going to a racetrack or are you gonna just do roll ons?? The better rider i'm sure will prevail,but the zx10 looks 10x's better and has more hp ALL through the rev range.Might not want to put any money on it.......
