Pretty cool video. Isn't it interesting that the real thing doesn't have the exhaust under the seat? So much for improved "aero" Perhaps he doesn't want a hot A$$.

Repost, but worth it...I love how they can jsut get in a full tuck and power wheelie it up through the gears.:rock

Doop! I guess I can't read well. I could have swore that it said R1. I didn't look that close. Watched it once and only noticed that the exhaust was in the wrong place, and it said Yamaha.

Either way, my comment still stands...why no exhaust under seat?

Other than the previously stated fact that the R1 and M1 are 2 totally different bikes.... why should it have an underseat exhaust? Because the R1 does?

Have you noticed that most MotoGP bikes don't even have exhaust cannisters...? They are just open pipes....

at 240HP, aero drag is of little consequence.

this is the same reason honda was happy to forego the most aero version of the 211v in lieu of increased lateral aerodynamic stability for better mid-corner grip.

there are way too many factors to consider which might explain why the rc211v has an underseat exhaust and the M1 doesn't. honda's prolink suspension is likely one of them. think about shock placement.
