I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a pair of Sidi vertebra race boots, but I'm curious as to how comfortable they are while riding and when just walking around? Can you walk around for a whole day in them without needing a toe amputation afterwards?

Rhonda (my brain) has a pair of Sidi vertebras and she says they're very comfortable for riding as well as walking at the AMA events we've attended. She says they have good arch support

I have Sidi Vertabras and while very comfortable once broken in, they have no arch support whatsofuckingever.:no

I am also a flatfooted bastard and my Sidi Vertebras fit me fabulously. They took very little time to break in, and are fine to walk around in, for me. I wore them the whole weekend when I went to Daytona Bike Week, (they were the only footwear I brought) and wore them for 3 days straight. They are much more comfy for me than the high-top Dr. Martins steel caps I used to wear. I got mine from kneedraggers.com they were $10 cheaper than Motonation (who is the importer of the boots into the USA). Good luck :thumbup

I too have a pair and must say, what a great looking boot. It comes with heel protection, carbon fiber, and almost every part is removable. But the only problem is the screws tend to come loose but that's why the boot comes with a personal tool(mini screwdriver). Thats about it....oh yeah, its definitely not a walkable shoe.

I have had two pairs of the Sidi Race Vertebras and swear by them! Crash tested one pair, awesome! They might be somewhat pricey, but they're worth every penny. I wouldn't want to run a marathon in them but they are pretty comfortable. :thumbup

Oop, did you mean the ones with the plastic shit on the sides? They are not quite as comfy to walk in. The plastic shit is only on one side and tweaks your ankle a little. It also gets scratched up and the screws fall out. Get the regular vertebras or the vertebra 2's.

Here are Rhonda's boots. I don't know which model they are, but they have a definite arch to the sole, and she said they required no break-in.....my girl knows shoes-- Imelda Marcos has got nothing on her :lol
