I was impressed. Extremely nimble, power everywhere and fun as hell to ride. I did get a little dissapointed in the R1 after that... anyone else feel that way?

My brother in-law has a 2K5 ltd and I've been riding it for the last little while. I personally don't care to much for it. I didn't find it felt that much faster than my R1, not as comfortable for sure (I'm 6'1")

last weekend I raced my buddy on his 04 R1 and we took it up to about 260km/h and he was right there with me. We did a roll on form 3rd 90km/h and he pulled 6 bike lengths right away and held it to about 250km/h. His bike has full system pwr commander, stacks and -1 in the front sprocket.

Well, I dont know what it was, but I was surely surprised by its power and distribution of power. Im 6'2", and I will whole-heartidly agree that it is very uncomfortable and made for "Gixxer jockeys"... Very light bike though. I dont think ill ever own a Zuki, less I get old and want to cruise with a Busa...

I rode the K5 and all I could think about was how cramped I felt. Did feel very flickable but I thought maybe it was attributed to how small it felt under me 6'2, 190 lbs. As far as power, it felt real good but it didn't make me wanna sell my '04.

Its a great performance machine, but I like my R1 just fine on the street. Im 6 1" and my R1 is a better fit. My last bike was a GSXR, they are great track bikes, but I had a lot build quality issues on mine and saw the same on my friends GSXR. I dont think I'll buy another suzuki unless they improve on some of that stuff. My R1 has been trouble free since day one! and I'm very please with how well Yamaha builds their bikes.

after a set of rearsets mine now feels like an extension of my body. I absolutely love it. I would only trade it for a Ducati 999s and I don't have that kind of money yet. I loved the 04 r1, but this GSXR just feels right.

hell yeah ....im medium size and the bike just fits me like a glove...and the power delivery its superb yamaha has to improve that one if it wants to get my attention

Yup, they really need to up the power below 8K. A new header seems to be a simple solution for that problem.

the r1 feels right to me but I'm a smaller stature (about 5'7, 135lb) I should probably get some aftermarket rearsets for the R1 to raise my pegs. I wonder if I should try out a 2k5 I'm not brand loyal and I'll switch if it fits me alot better and feels better....

i rode one last night too for the first time. that thing is tiny, felt good for the track and i miss the fuel injection from my last bike but i like my bulky R1 better for street riding:rock this thing could wheelie like no other though...

I'd like to see some more power below 8,000 rpm on the R1, and get rid of the underseat exhaust (to damn hot, and one to many canisters). Its a great machine though, and I've had one hell of a good time riding it.

The K5 was definitely more cramped than the R1, and the oem parts are sometimes twice as much as similar parts on the Yamaha. Great powerband.

I'm no suzuki hater, I've had two myself and loved em.
