which pipe is ouder, the mig or the devil?
Jutts, I believe the Devil is louder, I also spoke 2 Rob, kewl as hell, and we were talking bout pipes. He said the Devil is throaty and the MIG is whinnier ( is that how u spell it )...and also, the Mig has a nicer curve, the devil is less restrictive on the curve of the pipe. But u don't lose any hp wit Mig, u gain but i'm still look'n 4 a dyno chart 4 a Mig high-mount slip, if any1 has seen it, plzzzzzzzzzzzz post..laterz:cool:

so far a big turnout...

wow - so far we've had a pretty good turnout, over a dozen people from both here and from my LI group. I'm glad this is working out - we all got a decent break on a really nice pipe. As soon as I receive mine, I'm going to be making a trip to a local tuning shop to get this sucker dynoed- hopefully the pic post will be working then.

Re: What Deal? yo Guinea!

Guineapig: here's the deal - Rob at Devil has extended us a break on the new 2002 R1 hi mount SB2 pipe in carbon - the pipe usually cost 499 +45 for shipping = 545. Rob is doing them for 450 for us, just call him at 732-254-3008 and tell him you're interested in the group buy that Nick set up - Rob is an awesome guy. Devil's been making pipes for over 40 years - I actually switched from Micron and Akra - I decided on the devil because tehy sound fantastic and are alot less common than any other pipe (Devil doesn't sell to matloder chop shos)

The sound is very much like the micron - throaty and mean, only louder - kind of like putting a 2 bros and micron together. The hi mount has a really nice intermediate pipe which doesn't have the extreme curves and angles that some of the other pipes do, so you don't sacrifice alot of HP gain because of the hi mount. Call Rob - he'll take care of you: check out the pics and sounds too:

What's the story on turn signal mounting with the Devil?

I'm planning to get/build a new license plate bracket & was going to move the signals inboard... is there enough room to mount them next to the plate, or should I plan on drilling the tail to put some flushmounts underneath?

there is enough room...

I'm doing exactly the same - fabricating a bracket of out aluminum to hold the plate, then I'm either mounting short stalks next to plate or better, I'm probably going to the oval flush mounts on the underside of the eurotail (like those pic posts from a few adys back- nice work BTW)

I don't think the LED array in the tail section makes sense - you need too many LEDs to make it bright enough in the day. In any event, I'm confident that there will be enough room to mount short stalks next to the plate. Anyhow, since you are making your own bracket anyway, you could always move the signals up or down on the braket if you wanted to change the look or fit it differently. I myself like the flushmounts under the tail on the sides!
