What Sup Everyone!

As many of you are well aware of, Winner's Circle in WPB has closed and no longer hosts a Thursday night bike night. I am aware of one down in Ft.Lauderdale & in Miami, but if there is any interest, I'd like to organize one up here in Palm Beach. Maybe there's one already going on that I don't know about. In either case, please let me know.

Friday night is bike night at Fudruckers in Ft. Lauderdale. They are located on Sunrise Blvd and Federal. Unfortunately I would not recommend trying to go there on a sportbike. The cops just plain harass anyone on a sportbike. If you go you have a 90% chance of being stopped. South Beach is the place to go in miami, cops there too! So, Palm Beach is looking good. What part of Palm Beach are you taliking about? I would be interested in anything south of Blue Heron. Let me know, lets see if we can get a bunch of R1 guys out there.

I agree with the fact that cops on Miami Beach can be a bit asinine some nights, but realize on the weekends how many "fast and furious" Honda Civics are out, they usually leave our group alone, R1/GSX-R 1000/GSX-r 600/etc... As for Lauderdale, you ever been to Fuddies on a friday night, you get harassed if you are doing hundred plus stand-ups out front and then pull in, but then you deserve it. I love to phuck around too, but we all know that there will be cops there. Plus the are down US-1 from 595 to Fuddies, thank god, when I jackassed out of the tunnel wide open and saw the shadow in my lane (ended up being a drunk driver on a Harley...2 wrongs, no right) they had that intersection blocked before my buddies got through the tunnel. Thursday in Miami, yeah there are cops there too, never even looked at anyone funny that I know, so I don't see why any of these places are so bad in your opinion, they seem to be ok to everyone I know, plus they don't bother anyone at 9 turns, so I have to say Friday nights at Fuddies are fun.

The least amount of contact I have with the police the better off I am. I am not out there doing stand up wheelies or speeding. Unfortunately, all of us who ride a sportbike can be singled out by the most inept cops. We often pay for what others before us have done.

Shakie has a point, but I also have to agree with Matt. Winner's circle was also laden with cruisers, but it still gave people a place to meet and hang out before taking off on a nice ride.

I have a friend that has a restaurant & bar in Lake Worth with a large parking lot and he's game for the idea of a bike night. He has even talked about giving a discount off his buffet for riders, that night. It's right on Lake Worth rd & Military (Cousin Vinnie's).

I'd like to get something going for possibly Thursday night. Spread the word and hopefully we'll get some more interest.
As far as cops go, Lake Worth PD, WPB PD, & Sheriffs are use to bikers cruising around town on Thursdays (Winner circle would have aprox. 350-500 bikes every Thursday). As long as we're not too stupid and respect others, we should be good.

Fudruckers is cool and the cops dont mess with you unless you are pulling wheelies or hauling ass down US-1. But it gets old after after a while and another get together somewhere else would be welcome. :yesnod
