My new ride will be in this week 04,i want to change out the back sprocket making this my first of many mods.i'm looking to go up three in the back.where is the best place to get it.i really want a steel one,in a gold color.thanks

I have the Stealth rear sprocket (+2). I think it looks and performs great. I like having the carrier lightweight aluminum, yet having the teeth steel.

The only sprokets that last on my busa are afam. I went one down on the front and one up in the rear for the R1 though, have yet to put it on but that should be about the same as 3 in the back. Plus it'll leave the rear axle where I want it to be with the stock chain.

The Sprocket Specialist Stealth rear sprockets only go up to 46 teeth. That's only +1 for an '04 R1... but +3 for a '98 - '03 R1. You can get the Sprocket Specialist Titan Tough aluminum sprockets in just about any size you want.

i just got off the phone with sprocket specialist,she said they had a 47 tooth in stock,and it's a stleath,and it's for the 04 R1.thanks alot guys i think i'll get this one.i went up two on my 2000 R1 and was very happy.this 04 should be nuts.WHERE IS MY BIKE.i'm going down to the dealer today,and i'm going to bring this with me:machinegu

Okay, now I'm really confused. I just got off the phone with Sprocket Specialists and they still claim that they don't have any sprockets listed for an '04 R1. They gave me a part number for a 46 tooth 530 Stealth sprocket for an '03... and again stated that the 530 stealth sprocket only goes up to 46. Evidently the 520 Stealth sprocket is available up to 50 teeth.

So, what exactly did you just order from them? And who did you talk to? And do you have a part number? I've been trying for a week now to order a 47 tooth 530 Stealth sprocket without any luck.

i give her part number 479,she said she had one there.she said it had not been logged into the computers yet,but it was on her notes to be entered in this week.so call and give them this part number.thats sure does look trick on the picture submitted

It looks even better with a black swingarm and a gold chain. Did you order a new gold chain too?

no i did not order a chain,never really thought about it.if i did get the chain i could go up three in the back,what do you think

Somebody makes a chain to fit damn near anything. I'd just be a bit concerned with the wheelbase if you went up 2, being shortened just a tad. Sorta like fat girls and spandex. Just because you can get it on does'nt mean that you should.
