The front preload on my track bike is wound right in,so I'm thinking I need stiffer springs. So I take her out and at about 15mph I brake hard and almost lose the front end as it folds under my braking, the zip tie was right at the top of the fork and went right down to about 20 mm from the bottom of the stantion. It's a 2001 R1 and I haven't set any sag as of yet but need to know if you think I need stiffer springs first me thinks.:dunno

Yes indeed, K-tec 01530810625. £350+vat for complete internals, just rip forks out and send 'em (check on turn-around time though they get very busy). This will also make the bike steer better!!

Don't be tight (typical Scotsman!);) It's well worth it but if your buget won't allow, it would still be worth getting new springs/oil.

Ohlins on the rear aswell.:thumbup

The guy said you might be able to ride hard with a fu**ed rear but you sure as hell cant ride hard with a fu**ed front.

You wont regret it! I only noticed the improvement with the Ohlins shock once I'd got it dialled in and was pushing it, but I could feel the diference in the front instantly.

Very true after fitting my shock, the front was bottoming out, not a good feeling! I improved it with a bit of tweaking, but noticed a vast improvement after getting the forks done.
