I am telling to hit up Home Depot. Can probally rig one up for under $10. I think that is what I am going to do, unless it is just to much to rig something. Then I will have to go with the Graves for $85..

dude, 235 for that bancend led set is too much i can get some PCB boards and leds for 10$ and make one my self, actually I have a friend who can make em and sell them much cheaper

Check out Spidermans fender eliminator on his 04'....I don't know which company it is from but it looks great

Spiderman's fender eliminator is indeed a Graves. He did what I'm now forced to do. He took a Graves and cut off the signal mounts. He then gave it a extreme bend? Don't know if I will bend mine back quite so far, but it does look good.
I also have looked everywhere for a good eliminator. There are none! Wish I knew that years ago. Would have been fabricating them and making a fortune now. Can't believe no one can come up with anything worth while, but for now I'm doing the same thing Spiderman is doing. Then we can sit back and wait for something nice....:thumbup

Here's my custom fender eliminator kit I made right after I purchased my bike. It's in the picture forum. My friend and I with 04' R1's, we believe are the first to make this fender eliminator kit. Done on 02/15/04

I've been toying with locating mine in a similar place, but I'm worried the tire is going to hit it. have you had any problems?

The tire may or may not hit it. Depends on how angled you can get the license plate, and how heavy you are. It touched once, but then I bent the license plate back and upwards. So far, it hasn't touched, but I don't know at the moment.

I'm going to be fabricating my own as well with a friend....I will probably use the graves design, but without the holes for blinkers. There is a powder coat shop down the road from me, so I'll have that done in black. If anyone is interested, just pm me...I'm sure i can sell them cheaper than graves...I'll post some pictures of mine as soon as i get it done and coated. Or just pm me if you would like more details.

How is that plate mounted and what are you gonna do about signals?

In the picture, it looks like the signals are mounted on the lower corners of the plate. It seems like there is a yellow light in that one picture.

Any pictures from closer up?

I used 24 gauge sheet metal and cut them with sheetmetal shears. Folded them and drilled holes. There are 2 plastic clips underneath that you can remove. Make holes just big enough for the plastic thingys to grab. I haven't tried, but you can remove the seat and see if you can get bolts and nuts through the holes, but you may have to unplug some harnesses.
