Finally made it out there this past Friday and I have to say that place is a blast! It's the most fun I've ever had at a track, specially the "bowl" - that turn feels like a roller coaster drop and I actually used up my right knee puck because of it!
I signed up with the novice group (intermediate was booked) and since I had never been to the track, i figured it wouldn't be to bad. The novice guys were really slow, uber slow. So that made for some really slow laps, passing a pack of 4 or 5 down the back straight was always welcomed by another pack a few turns ahead.
Being the first one in line at the beginning of the session solved this problem, a few back markers would get lapped but that didn't prove to be a problem.
On my second lap of the first session I went around the bowl dragging knee and noticed some ripples through there! The bike felt like a pogo stick! One and 1/2 clicks of compression on the rear shock and this solved the problem. That turn is the best, because of it's high banked wall you can literally crank on the gas as hard as you can and the bike will just hold! Passing people coming out of that turn is the best :yesnod
I'm still waiting for some "action" shots but here are a few pics my brother (pit crew) took.
I highly recommend this track! :rock
