Yamaha decribes their fuel injection as a hybrid system.

Is the fuel pulse controlled electronically or does it work more like a port level carb???

Then the follow up is, will Dynojet be making a power commander for the '02 R1?

concerning the injection,you should surf yamaha"s site for more explanations...nobody is familiar with this system yet.

the powercommander has been out for like 3 months for the r1.
