Finally I can say that I've won a drag racing championship. Last Saturday was the season finale race at Houston Raceway Park and I was able to hang on to the points lead to win the 2005 Texas Shootout Street ET Championship. I know some people will say "big deal", but it was a big deal to me, and I'm proud to announce it here in the forum.

Here's a couple pics taken by the track photographer from the season finale race.....

Hey Patrick, this is Ryan. I've seen you at the track several times. I'm on the black and silver r1. Congratulations on the championship, man that's awesome. Are you going to be at the track Friday. I'll be there, I'll have to shake your hand then.

Yea I'll be there Friday. I just got home from the track actually. I had Smooth make a couple of passes on it, trying to run some 8.90's.

He ran a 9.07 and then a 9.06, both with a horrible 1.50 60 foot.

He's done a 1.40 60 foot twice before in the heat, but had he gotten it do it tonight, then we would have had an 8.86-8.90 pass, all on a bone stock ZX-12 motor. The track surface sucks on Wednesday nights. Those front wheel drive ricers tear up the starting line area.

Anyways, see ya Friday!!
