I just got through bleeding my brakes using a combination of the Mityvac container and an Actron hand vacuum pump. I never realized just how many different types of brake bleed ing tools are out there.

What are some of the ones that you guys like to use the best?

What are some of the ones that you have tried and have not worked as they claimed to?

I've seen some that run on compressed air, but are there any that run off good old electricity?

air powered pressure bleeder is best. it runs the fluid from the bottom up.

as soon as the res is filled, you're done.
bleeding isn't necessary.

I use a mityvac tool that you can use to either force fluid out the bleed screw, or up from the bleed screw. Works good when you reverse bleed, the whole thing makes burping sounds. Since air wants to travel up anyhow, it goes pretty quick.

I also use a bleed tool that hooks up to an air compressor and hook that up to the bleed screw. I lock that on and pull out the old fluid.

I'm thinking of giving the RFI method a try, any suggestions/tips/hints since I haven't done it before?

I made a kit out of 2ft of tygon tubing and a sports bottle.... works perfectly! I've used it on all my bikes and my neighbors 300ZX without a hitch and it didn't cost me anything...

just use tubing that won't pop off and remember to watch the master cylinder as you will be filling it up as you push fluid in. RFI works really well when filling a dry system or on troublesome setups like the rear brake.

RFI means reverse fluid injection; instead of adding fluid to the master cylinder resevoir and then draining fluid from the bottom you hook up to the drain point and inject fluid from the bottom.

Motion Pro makes three different models depending on how hefty your wallet is.
