Well, I for one am hoping for the YZR-M1 road bike. But I don´t think so. It´s probably an R6 with some revolutionary new casting technique for the swingarm pivot plate. Or some such...

Err... Yamaha is not in World Superbike anymore. Only that Panavto Yamaha ridden by Juan Borja, and I don´t think that counts...

Gobert

Gobert is still getting 02' R-7's with factory updates. Obviously Yamaha will be behind Gobert here in AMA as opposed to Borja ( aka gridfiller ) in WSB which appears to be headed for more of a production ss type format eventually. Gobert was fastest at the recently concluded tire tests in Fontana, setting a new track record in the process. The R-7 may be a somewhat dated piece of dung, but that guy could do a podium finish in a wheelbarrow
