I own a 01 red R1. I am not too impressed with the 02 R1. Doesn't look as sharp, in my opinion. Read the reviews of the 954, and saw the actual bike. Think it is cool and fierce. I am very tempted to trade in my R1 for the honda.What do you think?

ya, you are probably right, I am quite tired of the R1, and the suzuki is definetely not my choice, the red 954 looks great.

I actually love my R1, but this bike is getting so common, everywhere I go, I see the R1, seems to get boring after a while. One more thing, I can't stand the tickling sound. But I will wait for the shootout review before putting in my deposit.

Anyway,thanks for all your inputs. I will wait for the shootout and see. If the 954 is way behind the 02 R1, then that would probably swing my decision. If its a close fight and the R1 wins marginally, than I think I will get the 954. But again, if I make $ in shares.
