that's a new one on me, usually people want a more responsive throttle.
the adjuster is indeed near the throttle. you may be able to get a small amount of adjustment at the other end but not very much.
I don't think getting new cables will help 'cause there gonna be the same length as the ones you've already got.

sounds like you need to get a new whatever you dremeled & start over.

have you got any pics? I sure this could help somebody from doing the same thing.

like I said you may get a small amount of adjustment from the throttle body end of the cable but the primary adjustment is near the throttle (see 1st pic).
:secret:also it's gonna be a real pita getting to them to do t5he adjusting.

I'm thinking you'd have to put a nut or maybe a couple of washers of your own to get the adjustment out of it.
are you close to getting the tension you need?
are you sure you've adjusted the other end properly?
