I would be interested in adjusting my throttle too as there
is approx 5-10mm of grip travel before the carbs respond.

Two ways...about 6 inches from the throttle is a barrel adjuster. Take two 8mm wrenches, loosen the locknut and unscrew the adjuster until happy. There is also an adjustment on the carb assy.

I have also found that the cable barrel in the grip gets a little slop/play as well and have opened the shell up and packed the gap with bits of tye wrap.
