First off I'm kinda new to the forum, as far as posting goes. I read a lot of what goes on here and try to live and learn.

Anyway, just wanna get everyone opinion of boots. Whats to much? Im not riding track days, just yet. I want style, performance and comfort. I love the look of the Sidi Race Vertebra ( match my bike nicely ), but is that to much? The other problem is i cant find a local dealer that has Street boots, so I will have to chance it ordering them online. So with the opinions of all the great folk here, I will try to make the best choice.

TIA

No, it's not too much boot. I never ride with anything less than Race Vertebras, boot-wise, whether on the race track, or on the street.

No its has nothing to do with effort... or thinking i'm safer or pavement is softer on the road.. I wear proper gear now, but was just wondering if the 350 i was about to drop on boots was overkill/foolish

But thanks for the feedback

Too much protection .....................

Is like having too much money. The only people that talk crap about it , are the ones who don't have enough. I have two pair of boots and both look cool as hell with a pair of JNCO jeans. I do have to agree with an above post. Both ( Alpinestars SMX and SMX plus ) squeak like a mutha. But who cares about squeekin when you walk. Riding and knowing that your ankle, shin and foot are protected is what should really count. besides. With both of my boots I get a lot of compliments from cagers.

p.s. a bit of advice...get the boots not based on the color of your bike . (My SMX are blue and black, the SMX plus are just black and look waaaaaay badass.)
