I think it's good you got a new valve even though they cost stupidly much.

From what i've read and heard it can be some problem recoating used Ti valves, don't know if that's true but why risk it?

Can't say anything about the quality of the new valve other than if it's OEM it hopefully should be ok.

Are you using the old valves?

Havn't done compression test but now and then i do leakdown test on each cylinder.

Once (at 85000km) i changed the piston rings because they were worn.
Intake valves have never leaked, exhaust valves i've lapped once but it didn't take much to get them tight..

I havn't heard of any lifespan restrictions for the valves so i've kept them.
Did a complete teardown almost a year ago, except for the generator :)
Meassured them and there where absolutely no wear and tear(?!)

Of course, i can't meassure material fatigue so maybe i'm pushing the limit?
