Today when I was opening up the throttle the bike did not want to go over 10k it had the sensation like that the bike was cold (which it wasn't half n hour riding).

When cold driving from start it would kinda hesitate to go over 5k rpm, but i have no problem with that, i leave the engine heat up and then its fine. It's just akward today when hot it did not go over 10k rpm.

Any ideas what it can be?

maybe bad secondary servo

I had the same problem when my '06 was new. I broke it in at the track, and it wouldn't pull past 10-11 grand. The servomotor that opens the secondary butterflies was defective. It wouldn't open the secondaries all the way. It would rotate far enough to test OK on startup (the ecu does a quick diagnostic every time you start the bike), so it never threw an error code. This was covered under warranty at the time, the tech was tearing his hair out trying to figure it out. You have to pull the servomotor free and watch it to see if the shaft goes thru it's entire range of motion (smoothly) when the key is turned "on".

This may sound dumb, but I think I diagnosed the problem/solution. I noticed that this is only happening when the fuel tank is almost empty... Yeah sounds to simple, but in my case this is it. I know in the morning on my ride to work that when the fuel light is not on yet, and the bike does not go over 10k, it means my fuel light will soon come on. When the fuel light is on, I can't get over 8000 rpm. As soon as I fuel up: BAM SHAZAAAM all OUT!

No, it's not normal. Check your vent lines. They get kinked all the time and cause exactly what you are describing.

I wonder if everyone else has this, if the tank is on reserve can everyone here go over 10rpm's all out?

If not I would say, the high pressure pump in tank gets overheated, or if not enough fuel in tank the pump can't build enough pressure?

OK, here's how it works...there is no reserve on the R1. It is a level sensor and when you have approximately one Gallon left, the sensor comes on and lets you know. When you get to that point, if your vent lines are kinked, there is too much vacuum in the tank for the pump to overcome and you can't run all out. This is not a normal flaw with the R1. If it were, do you think we'd all still be riding them?
