My local #1 rider Jermey Toye got 11th in Superbike yesterday running on a stock 04 R1. He had the headlights taped up and the taillight as well. It even had the license plate holder still on the bike!

That just goes to show how good he and his bike were out there against full superbikes! He beat some really good riders on that bike! Way to go Jermey!

On another note i saw first hand in the superstock how the Kawi stacked up against the new R1....it didn't! Coming through turns 4 and 6 the Kawi was hitting the rev limiter and loosing drive in both turns on exit. Gearing could be a factor, but being a factory team I am sure they went with the best possible solution. That extra RPM on the R1 is so valuable from what I saw out there yesterday. Unfortunately the red flag brough one of the Kawi's back to the the front and then Damon crashed so It did not reflect the true domination the R1 has over that Kawi from what I have seen first hand. Of course the trust worthy and fully developed Suzuki won the race, but the first year 04 R1 is already showing its muscle!

On another note, I have #181 and in California....another member also has the same last digits on his VIN as well to end all discussion that I could have been mistaken on what mine said...it is clearly #181. I am sure the beggining of the VIN is different, but the ending can match up against others.

Did he have aftermarket exhaust or was it 100% stock? I remember watching the race and thought the ZX10's were like 7-9 ? But damn a STOCK R1 competing and beating Ducati's kicks ass.

I thought Bucky crashed in the SuperSPORT?
