was even better not to see a copper the whole day, i'm sure that won't be the case tomorrow :sneaky

welll boys i gotta say you missed out big time... just did the loop from warburton through to healesville...

only saw 2 cars thorugh reefton and the surface was very clean... run from reefton to marysville was much the same, no cars and good surface... but black spur was rooted with traffic and campervans :(

only cops were one patrol car doing license checks in healesville... maybe next time guys :thumbup

It was one awsome day , had lots of fun riding with paul and his boy frend mick
as for doing the spur on week days , while ever one is at work ,it is by far the best time ,no cars to get in your way

i agree mate... any day that you miss that is good for riding is a bad thing...

as for the heat... i think you will agree heat is not really a problem once riding in the spurs where there is the shade and cool mountain air ... heck i was cold at one stage... its just the ride home through suburbia where you fry whilst waiting for lights to turn green...

thats why yesterday i decided to take the back roads, and miss out on the lights whilst staying in the shade. slightly longer, but actually quicker than going the highway. i took the road opposite the ampol in healesville which goes out thru toolangi to melba hwy, then up to kinglake, back down thru eltham and into the city. first traffic light i saw was in eltham, and from there to my house is about 15 mins.

but also great roads. now the kinglke - s andrews rd is resurfaced it was quite fun, albeit very narrow,

dude that is some serious pace if you can get from eltham to richmond in 15 mins :bow you'd have to keep a watchout for the firendly copper who lurks around the chandler hwy exit most days...

kinglake is a good road and the surface is schmick too... it is very narrow though and one wrong move your off the side of a cliff... bit like the GOR...
