Hey guys Ive found a pretty trick set of pipes from wolf exhaust. Im getting some opinions on what ppl think. Right now the price is $1250 +$80 for shipping to the U.S. If enough ppl are interested we might be able to get a group buy. The only thing I dont like is how far out the ends stick, but I think a little trimming to make them flush will work. Let me know what you think. My other option is Devil twin pipes.

I do think it looks sweet but does stick out a tad too far. Also, I would be worried about the heat. The other company that has an undertail exhaust for an R1 (BOS, I think) includes a custom vented tail section with theirs. I would think you'd need that or at least to cover the bottom of your tail section with some type of heat deflection material. If you decide to go with the Devil Pipes, please let everyone know. I want to go with the shotgun system. Maybe we could get a group purchase??? Good luck with your decision...

Regards,

JoBu

Hey guys my contact at Wolf Racing said that the kit (slip-on) also has a new underbelly for the rear seat. Heat shouldnt be the problem. Also I asked if the end caps could be trimmed from their factory to fit flush with the tail. Hes getting back to me tom. about that and a group buy. Ill know more tom. There isnt a sound clip yet, but Im sure there fairly loud since they sell baffles for 25 bucks a pair. Thanks for the feedback, Ill keep ya posted.

WOLF UNDERSEAT EXHAUST

I like it. Been looking for an underseat exhaust system; definitely down with a group purchase as long as the system won't damage the bodywork and there's no considerable power loss?

bos are working on it...

2002 r1 seat pipes that is.

right now they have a 2002 r1 in their shop and are trying to build seat pipe slip-on exhausts which don't need a modified rear seat.

because they (bos) want to ship smaller packages to their customers. ( spoke with a bos rep. today on the phone )

Just thought I would share my undertail exhaust

Hi! I'm new to this forum today but I already think its outstanding. When I was looking at motorcycles to purchase I really liked the appearance of the M4 Augusta but I didn't like the feel of it. I decided to buy an R1 and simply upgrade the exhaust and this is what I came up with. I don't recommend anyone else buying it because of the shitty customer service and many problems with installing the kit but the end product really looks fantastic (or so I like to believe). :rock It took me months to finally get all of the pieces sent and everything put on the bike  but I did it. I think the price of the kit is something around 1500 and the worse part is its only a slip-on but I like it anyways. It beats paying an extra 10 grand for the augusta I guess. Excellent forum!
Thanks,
Garrett

I like the GP500 model

I really like the GP500 model you have shown in your link. Looks like a clean install and very nice from the back end. If it had 4 tips than I would have bought it. ;) I am a little unclear what you meant when you said the modified swing arm might be unstable. Forgive my arrogance but is that the part where the exhaust has split from one pipe into two and rides up the side of the bike? The system seems pretty solid and I have put about 1000 miles of good riding on it. I even took out a 160 lbs friend out on the back a few days ago and it felt pretty good (not great because I have another 160 lbs. on the back which kind of sucks for riding) but it was still fun :) Thanks for you comment. I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes my new exhaust.
