How to Wheelie Video

Me and a few of my friends are going to start shooting a How to Wheelie Video this Sunday. It should be done in a couple of weeks. Will start with basic 1st gear wheelies, and end with tank wheelies and such. Hopefully it will be funny, and informative.

damn Swedie! you are poping those things like there is no tomorrow man!

Nice!

I am trying to learn them... I can get the damn thing up in the first ( I don't want to do them on 2nd because I am scared of the speed you have to go) but I am just scared shitless of keeping her up! As soon as it comes up I just let off the gas!

today i tryed andf tryed and tryd.. but still doesnt come up.

the main problem is : when i clutch it.. or give full trottle, the bike accelerates so fast that i have to grip my selves to the steering-wheel , then a confortable control is out of the question.. just wont get up. :(

stoppies is no prob.. but wheelies.. i feel soo stupid :(

Rico... I don't know about your bike but this is usually how it works

Get on first, and ride it up to the rpms where you feel your bike has the most power. Maybe somewhere around 7K...once you get there, VERY QUICKLY get off the throttle and wack it back on. You need to do this quick so the front shocks will compress and when you wack it back on the will decompress and help the front lift up...

Try to feel it. You need to find that sweet spot. I had a same problem with my 95 F3. I couldn't get the damn thing up. I would just accelerate really fast and thats about it. Then my friend got on it and make one in first time.

Your bike will do it, just need to get that spot...=)

Good luck and let us know how it goes..

Saw your video Swedie....it's damm COOL!!! What technique and what gear were you using to get your wheel up at such a low speed....(It looked kinda slow to me...)

I like the way you can get your wheel up so smoothly...not too fast and not too slow......everytime I try it, the speed I end up travelling always seems to be friggin fast......

I've done it a lot and consider myself good riding wheelies. I got the self control and the technique to begin wheelies CORRECT.

If I'm really on it.. I can get the bike up in 3rd gear at around 6k RPM. sitting down.

I'm darn good at learning the technique on a bike. So I think myself.. many ask me how I do it.. it "looks so simple".. and yeah.. it really feels simple too. For me! <---

Just use the correct amount throttle and you will be doing smooth wheelies.
