I think it was sept 1st I walked into my dealers place and told him under penalty of death he was going to get me the first silver R1 he could get his hands on.

He was totally confused....silver? 04? wtf you talking about....?

called him once a week to remind him till it got here too.

I did the same back in late Sept. But the Silver one never came. I got the Blue one instead. The dealer had no idea that Yamaha was revamping the R1 for '04.

yep always the last to know, I asked them about the black ones and they were too scared to even admit they didn't know anymore. I think I'll go and ask them about the factory turbo kits next....

Same thing here, I went in the day it hit Yamaha's website, the dealer had no clue. They thought I just wanted the new red color. And unfortunately I am still waiting, they keep telling me any day now.
