I just put a Scotts damper on my 01 a couple days ago. I really haven't had a chance to ride it much with the damper on. I was wondering what kind of adjustments you guys have done. I really don't know where to start. I just ride my bike, no wheelies yet, not really hard but not just cruising around either - just to give you an idea of what I need out the damper. Any tips?

Thanks

Yah, the manual gets a little confusing to me. I know I'll have to keep messing with it till I get it where I want it. Thought I would check to see if most people were using a similar setting.

Thanks

its been a while since i installed mine but the manual more or less just said to adjust it according to your liking...............given i probably didnt read it to in depth....but if you get it to tight you will notice trust me. Other than that adjust to what is most comfortable for you.

OK,I feel I have to shim-in some more here... :lol

The manual basically tells you to never touch the knob under the plastic cap (high speed damping) but only tailor the slow speed damping to your likings;

One adjustment has an effect on the other!

But the slow speed adj. has less efefct on the high speed adj.;the contrary applies,the high speed adj. has a lot of effect on the slow speed adj.

Confused?

I was,had to read the booklet like 4 times to make sure.
