Or you definitely need those aluminum ones? :dunno

really looking for the billet ano ones, preferably in black :yesnod

I know they're out there, all the endurance teams have them, I just can't find them :no

RORLOW - The item you are looking forward is not an axle protector. It is part of a quick change system, this item guides the impact wrench to the axle nut. This is not something can be installed onto an existing axle. Custom bits need to be machined.

Yeah Ron, I second that. The system is widely used in endurance racing as it speeds wheel changes. Try contacting Phase One dude!

With regards to fork sliders/protectors, R&G Racing ones are nice....Thinking about them myself.

I know its not an axle protector, I know what the function is, I thought maybe they were manufactured & distributed somewhere. I highly doubt every endurance race team machines there own, there has to be a manufacturer out there somewhere, that makes/sells them :yesnod

Will keep you posted, I PM'ed a couple forum members for some help. ChuckH's going to the NEC show in the UK, I'll see if he spots anything, or any of his track/race mates know of a source :thumbup

it may be they are not available without purchasing the whole captured axle setup (as stated above), we shall see :yesnod

Ron,

I think GDLDesigns is right... after seeing some videos, I'm not sure if you can actually just add that part... cause it's actually go all the way to the other side... I think you have to get the complete quick change axle kit...

Check this video I found... YART(Yamaha Austria Racing Team) pitstop at Oschersleben 2005... you can see that long front axle bolt... awesome quick pitstop for changing both wheels...

It looks like a hydraulic stand that lift the bike from the side through the engine mount/frame... lol looks pretty expensive... it better comes with the pit crews... :D
