yeah me too, please any advise!
Hey guys,

There have been several threads with the info you are looking for. Careful though, there doesn't seem to be too much educated information regarding this exhaust system out there. Lots of people have negative things to say but nothing to back it up with. I've been involved in a few of those threads.
A lot of people have just made their own also... again, there are a few threads and how-to's I believe about this. It is super-cheap and you can get all the parts locally in most cases.
Save your self the maney and Build your own. You can do it for less than 50$.
Just do a search on mcm exhaust. It really cleans up the back end and it made for a smoother feel. I am sure that there was a little power increase but I have not had it on a dyno.
Here is a pic of mine.

I have it, I like it.
I have one... Love the sound and the looks.

i have one on mine and i love it , the more i ride it the more i love it. in higher rpms it sounds great, plus it cleans up the back of the bike. its not something you see on other bikes
I have had mine on since I bought the bike in Oct 02. I have had NO problems with it. I have some other stuff done to the bike as well and had a custom map done about a year ago. I am running 143 HP, no loss in power and yes you can make your own but the pipe through MCM is great quality. You wont be disappointed.

I love my homemade Mirage.Looks and sounds great. It's really not that loud. The only huge is difference in sound is that Idleing is a lot louder.
I have a custom mirage look alike and the thing is a freakin' unbelievably LOUD!!!! My friends hear me from over a mile away!!! Make your own!!!
Anybody have a good dyno-made map for a MCM with otherwise stock engine for my 03'? I would love to save a couple bucks off the dyno!

THeres no point in a map, at best you'll gain or lose 1-2 hp. It's not even a performance mod, if anything an annoyance mod.
more feedback please

i had a homemade one that i used for two months, the i put my micron high mount back on. i did that because i was learning to wheelie and i like the quietness of the micron so i didn't draw any attention. heres the deal:

pros: -odd attention getting sound(wasn't that loud until i really got on it)
-looks badass

cons: -odd attention getting sound

-had to repack it every 1000 miles(i know the mirage is supposed to get alot more miles than my homemade setup)

bottom line,if your not worried about the noise then its a sweet setup and it looks killer. once i took mine off i went from 50 ft wheelies to 1/4 mile wheelies within a week. i didn't have to worry about keeping the noise down and could fully concentrate on the wheelie. i live out in the sticks and i can ride 3 miles and only see one house but i was still concerned about the noise.hope this helps.
I heard it required a lot of repacking
it only took like 15 minutes to repack but it was really a noise issue to remove it. keep in mind mine was homemade too so i hade to repack more often than an actual mirage.
