Want to buy, 2006 Yamaha YZF-R1 LE. Willing to pay top dollar! I will travel and coordinate shipping or logistics on my own to take the bike home. Cash buyer. Thanks in advance!
I'm just soliciting the forum to see if anyone shakes one loose that isn't already advertised on the various web marketplaces (hopefully closer to New England than what is for sale out there currently). I'm simply willing to pay what I need to, in order to acquire what I desire. I think the LE is a wonderful bike, with an amazing livery, performance minded accoutrements like the suspension, and its a limited run. Seems like a sensible bike to put in the stable amongst my others.WOW! May I ask why you want a 2006 Yamaha R1 LE so bad?
Well if you look at the Yamaha line up it’s extremely rare to see a jap bike with öhlins all around. So if I would be looking I would get this one.I'm just soliciting the forum to see if anyone shakes one loose that isn't already advertised on the various web marketplaces (hopefully closer to New England than what is for sale out there currently). Exactly. Yes, .....Ohlins and Marchesini Magnesium wheels from the factory. It is raw to ride with no nannies! That is why I have an LE too. Love it... and btw it is stunning when this R1 is seen in person.Well if you look at the Yamaha line up it’s extremely rare to see a jap bike with öhlins all around. It seems like we are coming close to a deal on this bike. Does anyone have experience using escrow.com? I did a virtual/Facetime overview of the bike. Seller and bike are both wonderful. I am too far away, and don't have the time to go out there. I have the risk tolerance to buy the bike unseen but looking for a secure way to broker the transaction. I'll likely just use Uship and have it shipped up to Boston. Seems like escrow.com will work, and is short money in fees for a secure transaction for both me, and the seller.

This is exciting, I looked briefly at the R1M, love it. Can spend, but don't want to spend that kind of coin and honestly I think the R1 LE is more unique and obviously less common.
I appreciate everyone's comments.
Little backstory, I am an older R1 owner. I purchased an 02' Blue R1 brand new when I was 22. I loved that bike so much. Hight mount M4 carbon can, with full exhaust kit, PC, and velocity stacks. Did a couple track sessions on the bike, and literally rode it from Easter until Thanksgiving for 9 years. I wish I never got rid of it. I traded it out finally with 43,xxx miles on it. Only issue I ever had with it was the stator went at like 5,000 miles and it was replaced under warranty.
I'll be excited to put an LE in the garage next to my R1200GSA and my RC51![]()
