I believe they are different styles but both will fit on a '99. i just have to have the correct seat, is that right?What year is your bike? A 98-99 tail is different than a 00-01 tail. I have a 01 tail section if you're interested.

I'm actually going to need a passenger seat too. The bike I bought has a solo tail section and I want to have a rear seat for passengers. So i pretty much need both, so I'm trying to look for the tail section before I find a seat for it.I think you need the correct year tail because the subframe is at a different angle on the 98-99 than it is on the 00-01. Plus the passenger seat is a different shape as well.
