I know how youre feeling brother ... have had that happened to me not too long ago, it shatters your heart ... the only diff is my bike was forced to hug the ground by an ugly drunk thereby leaving a cracked plastic tank cover and cracked fairing on the right side ... yes i would have killed the bastard if only i knew how it was ...

Yeah, more of a half cover though.. What I wouldn't give for the bastard/bitch's address right about now. Split the fairing right at the *weak spot*.. where it goes around the left side of the headlight..

It's been awhile since I last saw Rob, but I'm sure he'll do a quality job on the fixup..

Hmmmmmm makes me think back to a couple of months back when a bus backed into the right side of my R1. Thankfully it was slow incident and it only left a few scuff marks on my exhaust. I think the worst part was the bus driver denying it despite the witnesses, the scratch on the bike and the corresponding mark on the bus. Oh, and my witness didnt tell me till two weeks after it happened. (which explained a few marks i found when cleaning the bike)

same thing happened to me about a year ago, on the shops SP2, out front of a doctors surgery, and luckily one of the ol girls inside said "oh is that your bike?" just as this dopey mole was backin ot over. I ran out jumped accross her bonnet "hazzard style", scared the *** out of her and she was like "oh what? Oh I never saw it" yeah, but what about the huge "bang" when it hit the road, ***in dopes. Sorry to hear you didn't get to see who did yours.

i just took my first exam today and parked the bike near the building i was going to take my exam and **** I finish the exam and find my back on lying on the right hand side.....

evilhermit - trust me mate I know how you feel.. My fairing has split next to the headlight, so I'm gonna have to get the guys at mpr to plastic weld it back together, then repaint it. -grrr

It must have hit pretty hard, cause there's a fair bit of gravel rash too - I'm just hoping Rob will know a way to fix that without buying a whole new front fairing.

I can't beilieve it's probably the first time I've parked it that I haven't turned the alarm on... At least I might have caught their number plate....

Quality job is something that you can take for granted from MPR :bow ... as far as i know Rob simply refuses to do anything if you ask him for an ordinary job for any reason whatsoever thats how much he loves his work and how much hes loyal to his profession :thumbup
