I dont know what goes through people's heads when they walk into a motorcycle dealer. I was in my local dealer to get parts for the R6. And this guy approaches me trying to start beaucoup macho conversation. From the way he was talking to me, I dont think the guy knows his way around a bicycle. He walks off. Its been 30 minutes by now, so I sign the pick-up forms, take my recipt, and im on my way. I walk outside and see this guy on a brand new Kawa ZX-12R. All the lights are on and he is twisting away at the key like a mad man. I thought to myself for a sec and figured so what. I get to him and help him get the bike off the curb. I Point at the starter button and hop to God that the angels guide him home safely. The guy stalls the bike a few times with a few yanks. He gets it going again. By this time, me and five other guys are watching him and I already have my finger perched to dial 911. While pulling out the guy gives it too much throttle and almost ran into the curb on the other side of the road. I watched him speed down the road. Im thinking good luck to him right.

I hope the guy is still safe. But, take it from me, if you are at the dealer and see a newbie drooling on the liters, please guide them to the 600's. Just my 2 bucks.

my boy has a 04 R1 with 50 miles and today he dropped it,
it's his 3rd bike. and I know a few riders who have been riding
for at least 10 years that have dropped their R1's real bad.

but there is no excuse if you have no clue how to ride.
some guy yesterday couldn't figure out why his R1 kept stalling after
he put it into gear...... we all yelled from afar, PUT YOUR DAMN KICKSTAND UP!!!!!
he had his girl on the back too and was soo damn embarrassed.
