Good luck to ya! My son will be testing for low brown this Saturday. :yesnod

Thanks Jeremy! :jump

I'd love to get away, but wife got a "To do " list for me about two pages long, also I need to take that pool in the backyard for the summer and on top of that its my weekend with my daughter, so it looks like I'll be tied to the house save for trip to my friend house to help him with a rabbit cage for his snake.:(

So Jeremy, how did you do on your brown belt test?

Also, how much do you guys pay per year on your lessons? The contract at the place that my middle boy is going to up here is about to expire & dude told me that to renew it for a year is just shy of $1200. This is for a 5 year old kid in the "big kid's class". Is that price extremely high, or am I just nucking futz?

John, between William and I, we pay $97.50 per month. We can go 6 days a week if we want. They do have kid's classes for those who are under 6. I'm not sure of the cost, but I can check on it for ya.

I'll shoot you a PM with info for the school I go to.

$100/month is extreme.

Give them a call and see what they say. I believe classes are twice a week, but I don't recall the cost. :dunno

BTW, I'm stuck at home doing house work. :rant :rant

Hey John what's been going on.
I don't graduate to brown belt until May 21st. I think it was Shawn's son that went for his brown belt last Saturday. How'd he do Shawn? I pay right around $100 a month for unlimited classes. I can go to day and night classes if I choose to. It's a little spendy but I like it. I still think that you are paying too much for a 5 year old. So what's been going on with everybody? The wife and I are on the lookout for a bike for her. Hopefully she will have one by the end of May.

Yep, my son tested on Saturday. We got results back Wednesday, but didn't get a chance to get to class until last night. He passed and is now a low brown belt. He was high blue going for low brown. :thumbup

It was his first test since getting back into it.

As to costs, regular students can go 6 days a week for about $65/month. There are day classes @ 11:00am on Saturdays. During the summer, they add 11:00am classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to the regular schedule. Also, being a Black Belt, I was given keys for the dojang so I can go in and workout during non class times if I want.

The young kids program, called "Little Ninjas" is twice a week and is for children ages 4 to 6 I think. They try to keep class sizes down to about 10 so as to allow the kids more one on one instruction. I'm not sure of the exact cost, but I think it's $45 a month. There's two classes to choose from. One starts at 4:00, and the other is at 5:00 I think.

Admittedly, I don't know much about the young kids classes nor the cardio kickboxing. I tend to disagree with both of them, but because it's not my dojang I don't have a say in them.

Gotta love the weather here. Nice, warm, and somewhat sunny for awhile, then we get back to this cold shit for the next week.

I guess I can't bitch--it's only April.

I hear ya. I've been working on the same damn room for about 8 months now. :(
