i run 2ct's on my bike i luv them i ride hard on the street have not tried corsa III's before i will when its time to switch i have nothing bad to say about the pilot powers reg or 2ct they are the sh**

I was getting about 5000 miles a rear out of a Power or Power 2CT. I'm still amazed at how long they last for the grip they have.

Obvioulsy the Pirellis are stickier, they don't last nearly as long.

I'm running the new Bridgestone BT-016R right now. It's a great tire, buy I doubt they will last as long as the Michelins I've run.

You can switch tires like that, but it's not really reccomended. In a perfect world, you should always try to run the same brand/type of tire front and rear.

I used to be a courier for many years, and sometimes, you do what you gotta do to get on the road, and ride your bike accordingly when making such compromises. That philosophy is definitely not advisable for novices.

I've run both the PP 2CT's and the CorsaIII's and riding all back roads in Germany, I was wearing out the sides of the CorsaIII's in less than 1500 miles. That was all on the street, no track days. I fought with the tire pressures on the street as well...it was hard for me to find the right balance, but once I did I could power out of the corners just after apex without any drama.

i ended up using 25 cold in the rear and 26 cold in the front on the track.
once I ran 2 laps they were up to 28.5/29. Ran pretty nice at those pressures. I wouldn't recommend those for the street though because its pretty hard to get them up to temp that fast unless you're riding them hard. Which you shouldn't be riding them like that on the street.

I just wish I could get more then 1,000 miles out of any tire. I don't even have 3,000 miles on my '07 and I am on my third rear tire. Damn nails.
i pushed the 2cts as hard as you probably could on the street and got 6000 plus out of them...same as a few other guys i ride with. one of them switched to the pirellis to try them and is showing wear at 2200 miles...didnt have any complaints about them except for their wearing properties

Well compared to the Stock PP's,
the corsa III's are way better,..I switched to 190/55

But thats a good point i might have to Buy a set of 2cts to compare.
because OEM Rubber is different then Buying the Tires Seperate!

...compared to my new corsa 3's. If you need to get new tires, give the pirelli diablo corsa III's a try. They are leaps and bounds better than the powers.

btw, they were both tested at the track by me. Corsas get hotter faster, and the sides are farrrrr stickier once heated. Stuck me like glue and allowed throttle at full lean and braking into corners.
Whothe****areyou anyway? "...tested by me"??? If your gonna go ahead and make a claim like that then you should at least include "on the track" in your title.
PP's are in fact very good "street" tires and are more than capable of handling anything most riders will throw at them. I've has several sets of these and have never had an issue with them. I did try burning some track time on a set and found them to be adequate track tires if you're not pushing them too much, they get greasy real easy so you can't overdo it. I much prefer to run Dot track tires or full race slicks given the choice but can't fault this tire as a street tire. If Aron213 is correct about OEM tire composition being harder than the aftermarket composition than that may explain some of your heat issues.

That's what I'm wondering. My bike came OEM with Dunlop 207s (hated them), but all the PPs that I bought aftermarket were great. I've had them leaned over grinding footpegs on the street and they stuck fine. :dunno

If OEM PP is a different compound, that's a whole other ballgame...

I am running the new diablo rosso's and they are every bit as good on the street as the corsa 3's,they feel pretty good even from cold but heat up very quick. If they last as long as pirelli claim (around 6000 miles on litre bike) then i will stick with these for the forseable future.

I have attached a pic of the rear after 1200 miles and it barely looks worn.
Doing a trackday on monday so i will see how they work on the track

Just calling BS like I see it. You say PP street tires are garbage because you tested them at the track. Try some track tires on the street and get back to me with your report.
My Dunlop NTECs are garbage as well...on the street!

i have had a chance to ride on pilots, corsa's and dunlops in my riding the dunlop qualifers were ok but would have bad feed back but slips very little. the corsa's were just shit!! they slip allover don't turn in well and my set pulled right! never will buy again. and the 2ct are the best all around tire for the money for 350 a set ant bad. and i have never had one slip and yes i can ride i dont pussy foot around no chicken strips on my tires! haha
