Anybody especially on the UK side familiar with changing the R1's firing order to make it into the Pig? Was there ever a kit offered to do this?

I never used it. Always used Mobil 1. Thought about trying it because it was cheaper until your little drama. One of the mods before you used to be a dealer too, he had creds. Then after you I said fook it, I'll stick with Mobil 1, can't go for a product needs a 2 headed salesman pumping it up.And did you really stop using Amsiol?
I have some learning to share with Big Bang Engs.
First of all starting the thing would present a challenge as you now have 2 pistons coming up on compression, to make it practical would would have to design in a compression relief, heavy duty starter, and starting gear. Secondly it will tear its self apart in very short time, other than a custom beefy crank and cam your valve train needs extra heavy duty parts, chain, sprokets, springs, ect. Now that all that is done the ignition now needs more capacity, along with the battery. The drive train will not survive, now that you have two major power pulses instead of 4 small ones.
OOPs almost overlooked the head, gaskets and bolts and cases, better redesign those as well cause the case threads are not strong enough, the bolts will break and the head will warp. So with enough money it all sounds worth it. Im sure I have forgotten a few things but get started on the rest and then give an update when you are close to done.
