I just bought an 04 R1 the guy I bought the bike said that the cat has been gutted as well as the cans. is it ok to have both cans gutted are will this hurt the bike

Get a Power commander (or equivlant) as the bike will be running lean with both gutted.

Gutted is better and pretty much you gut anything on your bike will be the best way forward,

The bike has a power commander It runs great just wasnt sure if it would hurt the bike to be gutted its also missing the right side can tip any idea where I can get one

Hell ya its load was gona get some race baffles but still Need a tip for the right side can

Thats what I did to my stock cans. gutted with race baffles... sounds great, alittle loud but I need to repack them.... I want to put a new air filter but need a power commander first right? i still have the cat....
