Going to work yesterday, came round corner at about 70, traffic stopped, grass verge cutter followed by about 5 cars, road wet, cars coming the other way.
So, banged on the front brake, locked up, I shot down the middle of the road between the two lines of traffic like I was on a Luge watching the cars fly by, bike slid across the road straight into a Subaru Impreza.
I walked away much to the surprise of everyone involved including the Police and Ambulance.
The copper was brilliant, talked me through my statement trying to make sure I said all the right things so that I don't get prosecuted for careless driving, even if the witnesses said I was riding recklessly.
The frame is bent, forks, fr. wheel, engine mounting snapped on offside, even seat lugs snapped and battery flew out. The road looked like the scene of an F1 accident as I looked back from where I stopped skidding along, pieces of plastic and CF everywhere.
Bike was insured 3rd party so it's bye bye to bikes and £5000.
It's not even worth making into a track bike.
