Generally there is very small weight difference between stock and aftermarket aluminium wheels. The big losses in weight come with forged magnesium or carbon fibre wheels. Magnesium wheels tend to suffer from metal fatigue on rough roads, after a couple of years. :thumbup

BST FTW.

Damn .... That's pimp! I want the wheels mainly for the look so I'm looking for info about Marvic wheels I can't seem to find much especially for the "superspin series"...

Marvic's seem to be abit more popular over here in the UK than they do in the States or elsewhere...

I work on plenty of racers bikes fitted with Marvics. Never heard anything bad about them, but what CARBONR1 said about the weights and performance is 100% true :fact

BST all the way for looks AND performance.

T'is a good deal if you want them more for the looks at that price :thumbup

Never heard of these.

I can't find any info on this model either. I just replaced mine with PVM wheels through Harris in the UK. They had a PVM 5 spoke specially priced at about $1100 but I went with the 7Y spoke wheel. Carrozerria's can also be had for a decent price. Between wheels and rotors I dropped 6 lbs in the rear and 1 lbs at the front for a total of about $2300. I got the Galfer front and rear wave rotors for $515 total.

The 5 spoke wheels were $894 GBP and the 7Y spokes were $1100 GPB. Pricing is in UK pounds so the exchange rate varies.

I don't have the superspins, but I have a set of Marvic magnesium 5-spokes on my 2004. They look almost stock. They came with the bike when I bought it, and I was planning on selling them for $$$, until I rode it.

The lighter wheels really make a big handling difference at the higher speeds. The bike is awesome and I love it so much I sleep in the garage (now that it is cooler out).
