I took it out in my 400 race bike and it seemed to help, but it did take longer to warm up in colder weather, i will prob put it back in but drill another 2 small holes next to the small one thats already there for flow
Dont take it out. The thermostat slows the water in the jackets allowing the heat from the cylinder liner to be transfered to the coolant. If you remove, the coolant will circulate to quickly and not be able to transfer the heat away properly. If your temps are at about 220 degrees F @ a stop light then this is normal. When is the last time you changed out the coolant?
Thanks i decided not to take it out and ive just dumped all the fluid out and put in New Motul Inugel. I hope this works, as for stopping at the lights it's a race bike and won't be seeing any traffic lights only on the trailor
