Wow such negativity about forced induction...

It would be quieter than an exhaust without a turbo.

It would probably have a retarded powerband which on a bike would lack predictability through twisties but if straight line is what you want it would be fun.

Wouldn't add a whole lot of weight, Honda did it in the 80s/90s on factory bikes that made 600s run with 750s but were lighter than 750s.

Adding a turbo makes it no less reliable than the quality of the build.

Honda turbo 600's from the factory in the 80/90's - as in for sale and available to the public? Have a link to such? There was the very limited CX500 in the early 80's (I think only 82) but that's about it.

Outside of novelty a 600cc FI bike has just about nothing to offer over a NA liter.

Edit: Actually I guess there was the CX650 as well - dates would be late 70's and early 80's for both 500 & 650. The 650 was apparently claimed to make 97ph (I believe at the crank).

You might be better on the year than I, I read it in the back of a Hot Rod or Car Craft magazine a few years ago. They said the bike was a hand full to ride.

The bikes in question are:

1982 Honda CX 500 Tc Turbo and 1983 Honda CX 650 Turbo

1983 Yamaha XJ 650 Seca Turbo

1983 Kawasaki GPZ750/ZX750E Turbo

Multiple years involved for all three, starting in 82/83 and running for a few years

The CX500 was 82 only, CX650 only 83.
The GPZ750 was 84 & 85.
The XJ650 Seca was 82 & 83.

There was also the Kawi Z1RTC in 78 & 79 and the 83 Suzuki XN85D :)

Or so I managed to find in a quick search. I was unaware of the Z1RTC.

You went a bit further than I, but yes, just Google them and they're there :)
