Yes I agree the raw finish is nice and the price is spot on :) looks like a win win piece of kit for performance and price.

Thank for offering to take pics, if you have some handy by all means upload away :lol but looks for me isnt the motivating factor... Well not entirely anyway.

Cheers Seth:thumbup

I found his email via eBay and hollered at him. Been waiting to redux my rear brake since day one:fact

Steve put me to shame....?! If you mean SS, I started crying Unkle when he was on version 1.2 of his bike:lol

I don't have the caliper bracket as the swing arm came with one...so I can't speak to that. The caliper is pretty mint for the price though. Elephant balls lighter than the stock unit too.

Steve would make us all red in the face if he chimed in with his rear brake plans....I think it actually came off an F-18 Hornet :lol

Here are some shots....

Thanks Seth :thumbup gorgeous caliper. Def going to go with this, not sure if I should be worrying about it now without suspension or... anything really but, meh!

What's a banjo bolt btw? I've done a lot of work with brakes, swapping calipers, changing pads, bleeding etc but have no idea what all these different bolts are called :vanish

Here you go, Ti banjo for you,
These people ate great to deal with and it comes with 3 sets of crush washers, which is useful because different lines have different thickness banjos. I had a problem with my Goodridge lines on my RCS as the Brembo banjo bottomed out before it was tight :fact

Anyway thought you'd like the info as an option :thumbup

I spoke to the gbmoto guy on the phone, I also live about a 15 minute drive from him, nice guy and I don't hear anything bad in the racing scene over here. I think it's great that this guy is doing an underslung caliper and bracket set for under ÂŁ200, by far the cheapest I have found and for sure the one im going for.

In terms of performance to say the Brembo kit (which is about ÂŁ500 more) I think it is irrelevant. Personally I NEVER use the rear brake (unless going through a gravel trap or grass lol) and anyway, you are very limited to the amount of pressure you can actually use through the rear before you simply lock the wheel, especially under hard braking. In my eyes the main reason for going underslung is to get rid of the huge OEM caliper and move the weight down. With that in mind I don't think you can go wrong with the gbmoto one :)

Been using one of these for about 2 years. In all weathers, road and track.

Gone through 1.5 sets of pads in that time

No issues with wear.

No issues with corrosion. It scrubs up just fine back to its original silver finish.

One of the few items that really did fit straight in (I got the caliper and hanger together)

I think I have had a banjo bolt foul the bottom of the thread, so a little care is needed. However the Brembo stuff often has the same requirement. Its hardly a problem and only applies t certain banjo bolts, not all are the same length.

The bolts that hold caliper to hanger are domed Allen bolts, not really able to put much torque through these, and its easy to deform the hex. 5mm hex on 8mm thread.

The caliper works well with the stock master cylinder, control seem fine.

The power is exactly what I need - a 'secondary throttle', is its primary use. With a bit of finesse into turns.

As a brake it is 3/5ths of **** all use - exactly as was intended. So you might as well cut the disk down to suit.

They knock off about 600g from stock, less what ever brake line you use.
