Since my bike is up or the winter.. im debating on some appearance changes while I wait until it warms up. (Todays high in Denver was 4/-11) :whtfu::cryin

I wanted to change up the look when I got the bike so I did the rear in white (pastidip). For $10 and a couple of hours of time. I think it came out pretty good.

This was the day after...


And this is after tons of canyon blasts and a couple track days... Still looked decent.


My question is... Should I jus shoot it again with the "Dip", powercoat it white or go back to Black.. or any other suggestions..

I'd say do the white. And I can't wait to ride. This damn snow and cold needs to clear up. I'm down in the springs.

If it was me I'd stick with black. The white is going to show dirt and grime faster than you can blink.

This:boobies I love white wheels and with WD-40 clean up is easy. I had white wheels on my 04 R1 and although it required more work to keep clean it was totally worth it. I actually love washing my bike so for me it was one of those things where it wasn't a chore

+5 for white wheels. Unless you ride in the rain, clean up shouldn't be too bad.

As for powder coating, etc... I'd go with plastidip for now, and if you decide you really like it go for the PC.

Here's my first r1. This was 9 years ago so the Asian lettering was in just like the Mugen power craze lol. Won best of show at a huge car and bike show in 05. Washed her after each ride.

I have always loved white wheels!! they are a BITCH to keep clean though as I learned when I had my CBR.

I vote for powdercoating them BOTH white, it would look great!!!
