I guess that I'm one of the few that doesn't allow another vehicle to share space in the garage with my R1.:dunno
I use my R1 as a daily ride, she takes me everywhere!:riding
But, I guess that's the nice thing about living in California, the weather is warm enough year round, that I can ride everyday! It's also the quickest way to get around congested San Francisco streets!:thumbup

I own a small used car dealership, and auto/performance parts for cars and bikes. Buy cars at auction, then resell 'em cheap to keep 'em moving, sell parts, etc on website.

Currently cruisin' Toyota Landcruiser.

Well, after a long time I'm finally getting a car. I'm building a 1979 Mrk 1 GTI Volkswagen Golf. The kicker is that I've located a 1.8 20 Valve Turbo from an Audi which will bolt straight in. So I'm going to do the suspension and the brakes and drop the 20 Valve into it and do the Sparco seats etc etc, so I should be in a very nice hill climber by Easter 04. I'll be buying a new bike next year too. The Golfs only going to set me back 9 grand.... W00t!

Should hopefully look like this:

Don't be a sissy. Go ahead and slap a VR6 in it; it'll fit. All you need is a Corrado front end. Also for the suspension I'd suggest an ATE 11in conversion it'll be easier and a snap on with the corrado components. Dont forget the Bilstein coilovers . And as a finale , here's my advice........Dump the liquid filled factory motor mounts for some solid polyurethane Turn 2 mounts. I ripped out 2 sets of mounts before I figured that one.

P.S. Discovery channel did a special on Samurai tonight and had a lot of info on them and Musashi. Good one if you can ever get it down there. They even showed a female who was a local Kendo champ at age 14. Bad ass!!

I can't legally put a VR6 into the Mrk1 I'd have to buy a VR6 and Turbo charge it. Put my last car was a 210HP FWD Turbo and it was stupid! Couldn't drive the bastitch in the wet, fried the bags out of everyother corner. So this time I'm sticking under 200 HP at the wheels.

Samurai, Oh how I wish I was born 500 years ago and Japanese....... Musashi, is the No. 1 saint in Japan.

I drove a 94 vette with LT-1 with 550HP. Yeah it was very nice. All "stock looking" under the hood but that lope gave me away every time. But that's just it there's alway so one out there better than what you have. Just depends on the $$ you have. Plus you always have to figure what your goin to do with it. 1/4 mile all the time or wide open performance (tring to go 200mph +). For me I always felt more comfortible going 150+ on the bike than in the car.
unless your running 650 plus on hp then the car is not going to stay with ya, plus you need a driver that will go that fast. Same goes for the bike. I've seen 175MPH on the bike and 155 in the car. It was very scarey in the car than on the bike.
But got married, no vette and now a proud owner of a 00 chevy truck 5.3 278 HP. nice very nice.
