Great! That's what I was hoping for. I'm planning to pick one up, hopefully its not difficult. I'm saving my nickles at the moment, I need a lot of them for that and an exhaust. I was also hoping to hear more about their version of auto tune as well.

The speedohealer is simply a percentage you enter. You ride it with GPS and then do some math. I did notice that their website claims to support the new 2015 model but if you can do it with the FTECU then no need to spend the cash on one.

The speed is registered at the rear wheel & not at the output shaft like previous models so no need for a speedo healer unless you want it to be 100% accurate.

Thank you!

That's what I remember reading before. I actually did some digging and found the thread where I read about it earlier (post#37 in the thread)...

I have a 15T front sprocket waiting for me at the dealer that I'm going to pick up this afternoon.

Anybody try -2 front? Renthal has a 14T front for 520 conversion. Thinking about trying it. It would be more aggressive than -1 +2.

Save
I saw this option on my ftecu. I have no idea how it works compared to speedohealer...
This option in FTECU is only for disabling the speed sensor(not adjusting/correcting) and to be used when the bike is on a dyno.

And yes, the speedo is taken at the wheel so a sprocket change has no effect on speedo readings.

I would think that would be a bit too much. These bikes are traction limited in the first 2 gears so I don't think going much more than about a 10% change would net you much more usable grunt on the street. On the track I'd say go for it!!

I just ordered the 520 Vortex kit from the mummy! I went with 15/43, and I'm really looking forward to change! More than anything so I don't have to be so easy with the clutch when pulling away from a stop light LOL.

Some food for thought...TJ at Riders Discount told me if I wanted 15/43 to actually get 14/40 because it would give me the same ratio but less chain so less rotational mass.
I'll take a couple of ounces hit in the weight department if it means the combo is a bit stronger and less prone to wear. On a 600 mid class bike I wouldn't worry too much about it. With having almost 200hp on tap I think it's something to consider....

I never trade low weight for strength...and I've got the scars and and X-rays to prove it!

We've run 14 tooth fronts on a few bikes making over 200hp. Quality chain, quality sprockets, and maintenance are key to durability and performance.
