What's up guys. I'm new to this posting thing, but since I'm getting a new 2004 R1 I'll be posting more often.
Here's my question, and hoppefuly somebody will reply:
Where can I get these " on the passenger pegs turning signals", or at least the electrical schematics to make them for my 2004 R1.
:beer Cheers guys and gals

Do it yourself from radio shack is your best bet. Just drill the right size holes and put the leds in. Run the wires behind the pegs and up into your tail. Run into the turnsignal wires. Make sure you have 12 volts total to the leds in series or if not in series use the proper resistors. 6 2volt leds will be 12 volts total. Probably what this guy did. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks a lot bro. It sounds simple, so I think i will not have any problems doing it myself even though I know nothing about electrical.
Has anybody here in this forum tried to make these?? Are the LED's visible during the day? How did you keep the LEDs fixed up against the inside of the footpegs?
Hopefully It will be my first mod as soon as i get my red 04 r1
:beer cheers guys

i was gonna put leds in my 04 tail fairing but after seeing this i am going out to the garage to have another look. i like it alot and it spreads them more than mt origanal plan also i dont have to punch holes in the plastic

Do you ever carry passengers? I do and I think the stock pegs have enough flex in them already without drikkling a bunch of holes in them.
I think the flex you are talking about has nothing to do with the pegs themselves but where they are attached to. What is probably flexing is the bracket, or the subframe where the peg is attached to. Besides I rarely carry passengers unless they are :boobies .
:sneaky
Just my 2 cents

P.S: Hey DUFFMAN, if you can find any diagrams on how to do this mod, please post it. That goes to all you guys here too.
:beer cheers

use this equation

R = (X-Y) * (1000/I)

where:

X= max source voltage (usually 13V or 14V for a bike)
Y= nominal voltage the LED needs to light up
I= nominal current of the LED (in mA)

Plug those in and solve for R, which is the resitor value. R will be in ohms. NOT kilo-ohms.

Buy the resistor and solder it to he longer leg of the LED.

Then you can be like me:

cool pics in that thread of my bike with LEDs

Hey, I saw on ebay some guy is selling LED lights that go in the front mirrors. in a row similar to the above pics. I think it is a kit, that comes with everything needed to install. This would look nice to go with your rear LED's. Look under motorcycle accesories->asian->then type 'yamaha R1' and you will find them in there somewhere.
