for now I have mine set to all stock settings except the rear preload is at 6 not 4. other then that all is stock.

might be a stupid question but why make it to the softest setting of rebound and compression? wouldn't that make it too bouncy?

thanks, I will set it up tonight. just to make sure that I am going it correctly which I am sure of.
when you say example 17 out from full. you mean like the book says right. turn it clockwise (a) all the way which is the hardest setting then count it from there counter-clockwise. this is correct??

hey, rode to work as always and feels pretty good. better then what I had before. going to see more then I get off of work. I will update your later on but wanted to thank you for your help.
it seems harder to find that sweet spot on the R1 as with my 900RR. it was pretty easy to fine tune it.
