Um i love the undertail and i think that bike looks fugly. Not saying u didnt do a good job of photoshop i just really like the undertail exhaust.

*Now that i think about it, it would look awesome if the pipes were hidden and ran up through the storage space. You should get rid of the exhause period and see how it looks. I think it would look awesome*

Definitely looks badass with the center mount cans.

 

I used to think the normal mount was better than undertail, but the undertail exhaust is looking damn sexy these days. It would look pretty badass that way though, pretty extreme angles.

there wouldnt be any space for the normal exhaust anyway...
the upside down swingarm blocks it....
n thats the main purpose of it....to allow space for the undertail exhaust in the first place

I think that looks as good as the undertail version. Both are alright with me anyways. It seems as if that is the direction sportbikes are heading nowadays.

 

Hmm... I donno, I think I like the undertail on the 'O4 better, other years, I donno, but for the 'O4, somehow I still find the undertail suits more... :dunno

Big cans have always made the bike look off balance to me . I like the symetrical and compact look of the undertail . Now there was a post by some dude here awhile back that had a Flamed '03 with a pipe that came out at the bottom of the lower fairing and I thought that looked sweet . Don't know about the sound or performance of his setup . I believe I would try that if I had an older model .

Personally I don't like the undertail exhaust. It makes the back end look to big, but I have only seen pictures, maybe when I see it up close it may look better.:dunno

But everything else on the bike is sweet:yesnod

Side mount exhaust has been part of the hottest looking bike for 6 years, including on the '03 you own. I don't think "fugly" applies here. Entitled to your opinion and preference of undertail vs side mount but saying "fugly" is over the top imho :sneaky

if you dont like the undetail just buy one of the guys 03's that they are selling to get an 04. Problem solved.

and my opinion the undertail is bada$$.

 

IMO the undertail is the best mod they made in the 04. When I bought my 02 just over a year ago I always thought it an almost perfect looking bike....... just add undertail ... and perhaps do something about the stock blinkers...

 

I like the no-pipe look better myself.

 

I always liked dual exhaust because of the symmetry, like RC51 and when I saw dual undertail exhaust on the 04, I was sold. I personally like it because it doesn't take away from the shape of the bike.

That and it balances the bike more by putting the weight in the center.
