Hey whats up guys,
I just bought my R1 back in april upgrade from a 02 gsxr1000. I test rode one from the dealership and loved the way it handled. Ok so I bought one off craigslist and had a mechanic check it out. everything perfect ya ya. So recently I just started getting comfortable at taking corners at faster speeds ( 85-90). While yesterday I was at one of my favorite spots and I decide to push it to 100 and I got the most violent shaking in the handlebars WTF!!!! ok, So i pulled over at the gas station and checked my tire pressure... good! Tires aren't squared off...ok. Maybe I was nervous and griping the handlebars hard. So I went back down again and made sure I wasn't gripping hard and I push it up there again.... violent shaking at 94 at 9000 in 3rd. Now I get pissed and roll off the throttle and proceed to roll back on...shaking goes away. Anybody have any ideas??????

Could be a couple of things, but the most common is the tire
it might look ok, but it might have a flat spot causing the shake.
Or the wheel could be slightly bent.
These are the most likely reason imo..but there is small chance it could be the front end (forks/triple, etc.) but i wouldn't worry about that yet..unless the tire/wheel are checked

I had a similar issue. Probably tires. I put new tires on my 04 and the wobble was completely gone. I got mine used and had no issues at first. The bike sat for a little while, and once the tires got back into a warming /cooling cycle, they stretched and that's when the ovaling and shaking started.
