Ok so I'm looking to buy a second hand 2008 R1 with +-50k on the clock. The bike was parked at the back of the dealership as the battery was on charge. When I first started the bike it worked perfectly, then I moved the bike out and tried to start it again but the ignition wouldn't turn at all. This leads me to my first question, does the battery have anything to do with the ignition not wanting to turn( also important to note there are 2 keys one original coded key and one that the dealership cut, neither of which would turn the ignition). My second question being if the transmission is broken and needs to be replaced does the gearbox need to be replaced too?( I was told this could be a possibility by employees at a Yamaha dealership)
