No that's way too high. offer him or her 7000 to 7500 max. Reason being well look at the 09 model, its a new bike which kills the resell of the older models.

no, he has some aftermarket parts and it has 3k miles, but still its expensive. i remember seeing an 08 r1 a while ago, brand new for about 8 thousand.

Sup fellas, I'm looking to transition from my 600RR to an R1. I found an 08 Raven with 3k miles and would like to know if $9100 is a fair price. Here's a list of the mods:

two bros slip-ons
hotbodies flush mounts
BMC flilter
power commander
2 HJC helmets
no name jacket and gloves

the bike is clean, never been dumped and original owner.. appreciate any feedback.. anything in particular i should look for when i go to look at it?
any difference from the 07 to the 08?

too high IMO. Shop around a bit more.

 

too high for that bike, you could find a brand new left over for that (or less).

Im not exactly sure, im not in the sales dept, so youd have to ask them. If you want the number i can give it to you. I know for a fact that they can ship it tho

 

Call around to like 3 different banks in your area and have them look it up in their books. That is how i found my 06 Raven is worth 7600 in GA and if i was back up north the banks would only hand out 7100 to people.

Clean trade value is $7080, retail is $8950 but you can buy a new one for that. These numbers are the most current NADA. Forget the mods, don't pay extra for that.

07 R1 charcol.. brand new from a dealer... $9400 out the door

couple of 08 Ravens brand new from dealer.. they average 12k out the door..

seen ebay a raven 08 for 9500, just walk into a dealer who has one ready to go, cash in hand.. 9K OTD should do the trick... there arent all that many buyers left walking around w/ 10Gs in their pockets this late in the season... :fork

 

straight... tell those STEALerships they are criminals.. most people paid less for 09's than that.... Offer then 8900 for the 08 NEW Raven. (what I think the most you should pay)

i don't quite understand the dealers.. here am i serious with purchasing a bike.. and they're not willing to work with me.. with this economy i would like they would atleast try to move bikes.. i think they're getting greedy.. i don't mind them making a few bucks but damn, i don't want to walk away with a bike feeling like i just got robbed..
